Dave, you are without a doubt one of the best artists to grace NG. I always look forward to your movies and music and can't wait to see and hear more. Keep up the amazing work.

[The Abyss : Komjo]

Amazing. Totally front page material.

Wow. That was incredible. The David Firth influence is very obvious in both the art and the context. However, this piece still oozes with originality. While Firth uses considerable dialogue to set the mood in his work, you've successfully recreated that atmosphere with visuals alone; the minimalist soundtrack only adds to the intensity. Moreover, the art had its own unique fluidity and was a tad more colorful than I'd expect for this genre. Don't get me wrong, though. The added color worked perfectly. Please, continue this sub-plot.

Dude, that was one thing and one thing only: FUCKING AWESOME. Like pretty much everyone else, I laughed for a good 5 minutes after that. Thanks for brightening my day, man.

Hrm...

Well, you obviously put a lot of effort into to this, so I can't say that you just plain slacked off. However, there were a few things that bugged me. First, you need to work on your spelling and grammar a little bit. I'm not saying that you're stupid, though; it just makes the movie look less professional. Also, the "disclaimer" looked like a mishmash of the South Park disclaimer and that of the Clerks Animated Series. Also, it just didn't seem to fit in general.

Criticism aside, though, I definitely have to commend you on actually putting together a semi-decent movie here. Just clean it up a bit in terms of dialogue (plot line as well as the aforementioned issues) and art. For a first attempt at a big movie, this is a lot better than the usual crap seen around here. Keep working on it and see what improvements you can come up with. Nice work.

[FBF Showcase]

Short, but full of potential...

Well, despite the fact that there doesn't seem to be a real point to this, I'm gonna give you high marks in the graphics department. The animation is smooth, with a casual style that gives it some personality. I also realize that this was more of a showcase than anything else, so despite the lack of a plot, I'm sure you're more than capable of implementing your admirable animation skills into a full-length piece. Keep up the good work; I look forward to seeing your future releases.

Many of my friends have been telling me to make a full length continuous FBF movie. I really don't specialize in long-term work, as I tend to move on, I get worse and worse. I tried to keep this one short, as it was just a practice.

Dude, I would say that there need to be more flashes like this, but the last thing this place needs is yet another stream of rip-offs based on one amazing piece of work. This is by far one of the coolest things I've ever seen here, hands down. Keep rockin' out, dude. I hope to see this one on the top 50 for a LONG time.

Holy crap...

Seriously, I've always been a fan of your work, because there are so few flashes out there that actually creep me out, let alone evoke any emotion at all. This work is no exception. The transitions were flawless and well thought out, and the plot itself was random to the point of unsettling freakiness without breaking the threshold of "just plain stupid." Also, the use of Clara Rockmore's unparalled theramin skills was just plain classy. Excellent job, man. I look forward to seeing more.
